What you'll do:

As a Dental Assistant you will work to enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients. As a Dental Assistant you will:

• Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Collects and records patient health histories, take impressions and x-rays
• Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures
• Prepares dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.)
• Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed
• Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies
• Cleans/polishes removable devices; fabricate temporary restorations, custom trays, study models
• Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient
• Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff
• Present treatment plans to patients

In addition, this position will assist the administrative team to enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent communication and customer service to our patients. You will provide positive and professional customer service over the phone and in-person, including posting of payments and insurance verifications, and scheduling patient appointments. 

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred
• Previous customer service or office experience
• Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Foster a positive attitude and be a team player

Hours:

Monday and Tuesday 8:30am to 4:30pm

Thursday 11:00am to 6:30pm

Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
