Located on 220 acres near Boise, Idaho, Cherry Gulch is a small private, clinically-oriented, therapeutic residential treatment center for boys 5th through 9th grade. Our picturesque ranch setting lends itself to our staff and students as we work together to provide early behavior and academic intervention. Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Special Education Director to join our team. As an Special Education Director, you will be responsible for overseeing educational programs, managing projects, and providing coaching to the academic team . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education administration, specidal education teaching, progress tracking and student IEP's. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop educational programs to meet the needs of students
  • Coordinate and manage projects related to curriculum development and program implementation
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure the quality of educational programs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as school districts and student advacacy groups.
  • - Oversee the student grading and EIP process and report informantion each students home district
  • Monitor program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Education or related field required
  • Must have current Administrator and Special Education endorsements.
  • Minimum (2) years’ experience in administration
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, ability to lead and direct the work of others, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate-level PC skills required.
