SUPERVISOR:
Manager or designee.
SUMMARY:
Provide support to the District warehouse and inventory operations. Receive, fill, deliver, and process warehouse requisitions and purchase orders to District facilities and other locations as necessary. Receive stock, process purchase orders, and monitor warehouse vehicles to comply with the Department of Transportation safety guidelines and District policies and standards. Process and deliver mail to various District sites.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receive, stock, pick, deliver, and maintain warehouse stocked/non-stocked items related to District business needs including facilities, food and nutrition services, and general operations. Assist in warehouse inventory. Receive and deliver equipment, furniture, and other necessary items in support of District operations. [Daily, 45%]
• Process warehouse requisitions and purchase orders for delivery to District facilities. Ensure “pick tickets” are accurate, filled, packaged, and distributed. Maintain appropriate records and files within the warehouse electronic systems. [Daily, 25%]
• Issue bulk mailing permits to authorized agencies, obtain account numbers, and send billing information to appropriate District staff. Process and deliver mail and other District courier needs. Maintain records of all mailings, including films and educational material. [Daily, 15%]
• Perform daily inspection of equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, etc.) to ensure safe operability and document/report any required maintenance. [Daily, 5%]
• Inspect and monitor vehicle maintenance and maintain accurate daily records, including any required maintenance, for compliance with the Department of Transportation, State of Colorado, and District regulations. [Daily, 3%]
• Maintain proficiency with all security, safety, and associated requirements including handling, maintaining, shipment, and safety of foodstuffs. [Quarterly, 5%]
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 2%]
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment such as computers, scanners, reproduction equipment, postage meters, etc.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work alone and with others.
• Ability to work with frequent interruptions and readily change to accommodate priority needs.
• Ability to operate/use warehouse equipment to include pallet jacks, forklifts, dollies, etc.
• Ability to safely operate District vehicles.
• Ability to meet Colorado School District Self-Insurance Pool insurability requirements.
• Ability to learn and apply the District’s financial system as it pertains to warehouse and inventory operations.
• Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
• Possess and maintain a good driving record.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
• Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) within the first six (6) months of employment.
• Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a forklift operator certification within the first three (3) months of employment.
• Warehouse or receiving experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Basic knowledge of warehousing, delivery, and inventory.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Successfully pass the Department of Transportation physical.
• Subject to random drug screening.
• After hours, emergency, and/or shift work may be required.
• Constant bending, reaching, and climbing.
• Extremely heavy physical effort (lifting over 50 pounds).
• Visual concentration.
• Concentrated reading/writing/mathematics.
• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Squatting.
• Overhead work.
• Repetitive movements.
• Constant lifting, pulling, and/or pushing.
• Potentially hazardous and noisy environment.
• Normal warehouse environment, including work with dry goods, coolers, and/or freezer storage areas.
