Overview Conducts scientific studies which yield quantitative and / or qualitative assessment of designated programs and service delivery systems.
Executes evaluations and data sharing agreements with internal and external partners. Works with the coordinator and directors to provide quality control, ensures fidelity and measures outcomes.
Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Masters's degree; no substitutions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT At least one (1) year experience in a field related to social or human research.
COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
Familiar with software programs for data analysis such as SPSS and SAS are preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
Driver's license is required to drive within the jurisdiction to perform assessments and tests and for travel. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to work as a part of a team or workgroup and organizational skills are essential.
Must be able to travel by commercial air for required conferences and meetings. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS May need to meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care depending on department or area of assignment.

Conducts quantitative and / or qualitative scientific studies for programs and service delivery systems. Communicates and coordinates with funding agencies, community organizations, and other Cherokee Nation departments regarding data collections, work plans, and project timelines.
Uses data collections instruments such as survey questionnaires, interviews, focus groups, and direct and indirect observation protocols to measure the implementation and outcomes evidenced based programs.
Coordinates and manages data collection. Maintains records during research and disposes of data as required by relevant guidelines and regulations.
Prepares formal evaluation reports. Conducts library, database, and web-based research. Summarizes data and other research findings.
Disseminates scientific evaluation results to stakeholder audiences in written and presentation formats. Works with individual project managers to provide quality control, ensure fidelity to protocols, and measure outcomes.
Maintains appropriate correspondence with the IRB, including adverse events, annual renewals, and protocol amendments. Complies with the regulations in regard to the security, safety, and confidentiality of any health services record they create, maintain, transfer, or destroying of records in accordance with state, tribal, and federal requirements.
Performs related work as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises one (1) employee in Human Services. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;
rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Other duties may be assigned.
