Cherokee Nation is Hiring an Assessment coordinator Near Tahlequah, OK

Overview Coordinates assessment program to include establishing and maintaining centers, assessment scheduling, providing approved accommodations, computer hardware and software maintenance, and financial processes while maintaining the program at optimal efficient levels.

Supervises staff accordingly. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university;

no substitutions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT At least two (2) years of experience in monitoring, scheduling, assessment provider, computer / IT, software installation and implementation, program oversight, working with federal and state mandates, supervision, policy development resolving client / customer issues, budget development and implementation, providing training, publicity and promotion, supply attainment, or related field.

COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should know database software, internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

Must obtain assessment certifications as required at the time of hiring within 20 business days of first being hired to position.

Certifications must be maintained during the duration of employment. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals / Entities (LEIE).

Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or here.

The employee is frequently required to walk, and / or sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

Provides oversight to assessment program ensuring processes and activities are in accordance with prescribed guidelines, goals, and objectives, and serves as Chief Examiner.

Ensures all assessment practices are conducted in compliance with agreements and regulations as mandated. Maintains confidentiality and security of all assessment materials, equipment, supplies, information, and documentation.

Oversees all scheduling for each approved assessment center. Implements modifications as required per state, federal, and / or programmatic requirements.

Oversees installation and updates of software as needed while having the ability to communicate with and assist both internal and external technical support representatives.

Ensures all software and hardware specifications are updated and in compliance at all times. Resolves assessment problems including client issues as they arise.

Maintains all contracts needed for assessment purposes and ensures these contracts are renewed to maintain the continuation of the assessment process.

Provides supervision of assigned staff ensuring staff obtains and maintains assessment certifications, as well as optimal job knowledge for their positions and follows all assessment regulations and job requirements.

Develops, implements, and communicates program goals, objectives, and activities as needed. Assists with budget preparations and ensures all financial transactions comply with approved guidelines, regulations, and policies.

Develops, plans, and administers assessment training as needed to staff. Publicizes and promotes assessment services. Conducts and attends meetings as needed.

Prepares and submits reports as needed including written and verbal formats ensuring content validity and accuracy of information.

Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises two (2) to four (4) employees in the Career Services Administration Department.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities following the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees;

planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
