We are seeking a Service Technician capable of inspecting, removing, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our client’s fueling facilities (vehicular, emergency generator, boilers, etc.).

LOCATION

Medley, Florida

THE ROLE

The position of Fuel Service Technician performs equal portions of electronic, plumbing, and mechanical work and is able to work through difficult problems. This person installs, maintains & repairs fuel dispensers, submersible fuel pumps, tank level, and leak detection equipment, card readers, and various other types of equipment found in service stations.

Essential Functions Include:

  • Providing on-site maintenance to our client’s fueling facilities throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
  • Assisting in diagnosis, analysis, and resolution of fuel/petroleum product failures.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, with an excellent work ethic, neat appearance, and good communication skills. 
  • Keep customers informed of job progress, parts availability, cost estimates, and job completion. 
  • Ensure the use of safe working practices.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Must have a valid Driver’s license.
  • High school graduation or equivalent required.
  • Must have 2 years experience as Field Service Technician for plumbing, HVAC/mechanical, or electrical industries.
  • Must have a strong background or equivalent training in heavy mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Must have a strong diagnosis, repair, and testing ability.
  • Must be able to build rapport and proficiency working with clients to identify, define, and solve problems and satisfy customer needs.
  • Must have the ability to lead without constant supervision and be a self-starter and self-motivated.
  • Must have strong multi-tasking ability.
  • Must display attention to detail.
  • Must read, write, speak and understand English with exceptional analytical and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to interact with others, including customers and colleagues, in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Must have high standards for appearance, safety, and professionalism. 
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must have familiarity with computer operations and an aptitude for learning computer skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to be both effective and efficient in work.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills;
  • Strong learning ability and problem-solving skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in outdoor settings and industrial settings, in all weather conditions, including temperature extremes, during day and night shifts. Work is often performed in emergency and stressful situations.
