Chernoff Cosmetic Surgery is Hiring a Registered Nurse - Plastic Surgery Office Near Indianapolis, IN

Chernoff Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in injectable fillers, neurotoxins, aesthetic lasers, and energy devices. Only candidates with experience in aesthetics will be considered. The hours for this position are Tuesday – Friday 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM and one Saturday per month: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Candidates must have excellent judgement and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be able to establish and maintain relationships, have excellent communication skills, an excellent work ethic, an aptitude for learning, and value working as team. Candidates with existing non-competition clauses will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform injectable injectable neurotoxin, dermal filler, treatments completed in our office.
  • Learn and become an expert on all procedures and treatments offered.
  • Conduct consultations and educate patients on specific procedures including what to expect before, during, and after procedures.
  • Provide follow-up patient care after procedures to ensure healing including wound care/surgical site care, suture removal, and emotional support.
  • Provide post-surgical care including monitoring patient vitals, maintaining surgical drains and dressings, and cleaning incisions.
  • Reinforce patient teaching regarding care at home, medications, and the healing process.
  • Collaborate with nurse, surgeon, or office staff to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Document all patient encounters in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Remain up to date with and comply with current cosmetic surgery standards, safety regulations, and HIPPA guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Experience administering injectable fillers, neurotoxins, aesthetic lasers, and energy devices.
  • Current Indiana License as a RN and current registration with the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
  • Medical Professional Liability Insurance (Malpractice Insurance).
  • Talk clearly and articulate words for extended periods of time at a volume level that can be easily heard over the phone or in person.
  • Perceive sounds at normal speaking levels and receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Sit or stand approximately 50% of the time.
  • Ability to view and understand information written in a patient’s medical chart.
  • Complete repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers to write and document patient encounter notes and perform post-operative care.

Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Some weekend and evening hours required.

Compensation: Training rate and hourly rate to be discussed during the interview process.
