Senior Cyber/IT Product/Project Manager
Hybrid Schedule: In person, in the Washington, DC office twice a pay period.

Chenega Systems (CS) provides federal agencies empowered solutions in Cybersecurity and Data Visualization. Our Subject Matter Experts offer decades of experience working in the federal marketplace and the data visualization environment.
The Senior Cyber/IT Product/Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of project and personnel performance and assists the Senior Cybersecurity/IT Program Manager in his or her responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Provide project management services to ensure successful completion of all tasks within the scope of work and clear, timely, and effective communication with the customer
  • Provide management and oversight of activities performed by contractor personnel, including sub-contractors, to satisfy contractual requirements.
  • Provide management, direction, administration, quality control, and leadership.
  • Create and maintain Project Management Plans (PMPs), baselined Work Breakdown Schedules (WBSs), Project Status Reports (PSRs), meeting minutes, and briefing materials, and provide Financial Reporting.
  • Resolve management and programmatic issues as necessary.
  • Keep the customer abreast of project/staffing changes and unresolved issues.
  • Monitor and ensure project performance.
  • Develop and implement business improvement strategies.
  • Identify and document business and gap analysis for workflow.
  • Coordinate and manage key process improvement/change projects (e.g., launch new products).
  • Facilitate business process re-engineering within and across divisions.
  • Identify and deliver service improvement activity across the business by employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking.
  • Make recommendations for change, involving process redesign and business case development.
  • Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and the identification of better ways of working.
  • Identify trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system.
  • Elicit requirements and drive process change using staff interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, business analysis, and workflow analysis.
  • Collaborate with other team members and business units to devise new support material based on the revised processes, including training, reporting, and systems enhancements.
  • Prepare and present annual process review documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related discipline (or substantial compensating operational experience)
  • 5 years of experience managing programs and projects involving IT system auditing, security controls assessment, cloud environments, incident response, penetration testing, system documentation, system and application vulnerability scanning and assessment, security architecture, security engineering, privacy, controlled unclassified information, and management of multiple security teams
  • PMI PMP certification required
  • Does not require a cybersecurity certification upon start, but may be required to obtain a certification within 12 months
  • Background check
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience with designing and implementing information security plans for enterprises with diverse sets of complex applications, databases, network connections, and communications subsystems existing in cloud and on-premise environments
  • Experience with implementing security procedures following best practice methodologies such as Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute (SEI) CMMI standards, and/or the IT Information Library (ITIL)
  • Knowledge of Federal IT policy, regulations, and best practices to include NIST and FIPS guidelines
  • Ability to supervise overall administration for the contract.
  • Knowledge of Program Management methodologies
  • Proficient in current IT security processes, procedures, guidelines, technologies, and requirements
  • Knowledge of FISMA regulations and policies
