Scope of the Position

The Project Engineer is a key leader in a high performing team, meeting the needs for specialty materials supporting the rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing industry anticipated to have dynamic growth over the next decade.

This position is primarily responsible for plant reliability measurement and improvement and also, the mechanical integrity program. Additional responsibilities includes assisting the Maintenance Manager with maintenance systems and Turn Around Planning.

What You Need To Be Successful

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering from an ABET accredited university preferred, other disciplines and experience may be considered
• at least 5-7 years’ experience in a reliability or maintenance role in an industrial or light industrial environment
• Computer skills
• Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote
• AutoCAD – Entry Level
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated agile learner
• Effective interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities 

• Maintain and development facility Mechanical Integrity Plan
  • Maintain and develop piping circuit drawings and inspection plans
  • Maintain and develop tank and vessel inspection plans
  • Implement and update policies and procedures
• Develop Mechanical Integrity Plan for new plant expansion
  • Create inspection plans and schedules for new plant equipment and piping
  • Assist third party in building new plant equipment database
  • Create turnaround inspection plan for new plant turnaround in 2025
• Supervise CAD designers, engineering consultants, and plant personnel in preparation of P&IDs, equipment drawings, equipment maintenance files, Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures, and equipment spec sheets
• Lead plant integrity programs for RCFA, Oil Analysis, Infrared Analysis, and other developing reliability programs.
• Monitor and review the utilization of maintenance and reliability tools, processes, and best practices
  • AMS 4120 Vibration Analyzer
  • Remote continuous monitoring vibration analyzers
  • UT thickness readings
  • Eddy Current reports
  • Enhanced non-routine inspection methods when required
• Oversee maintenance schedule for anodic protection systems for internal corrosion control
• Assist in leading quarterly 1-day outages, and 18-month turnaround schedule
• Recommend changes in maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned outages
• Accountable for reliability metrics and for completing action items from the corporate database.
  • Calculate and track facility Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) for rotating equipment
  • Monitor remote vibration analyzer dashboard
  • Track process leaks and maintain clamp list
• Identify and quantify the stake for reliability issues. Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures, communicate finding, and implement long term solutions.
• Provide technical assistance for assigned capital projects from conception and/or design through estimation, bid reviews, installation, contractor management and maintenance engineering support.
