Chemtech Plastics is Hiring a Plant Maintenance Technician Near Elgin, IL
- Insure the upkeep of the injection molding facility.
- Maintain preventive maintenance programs on all molding and support equipment.
- Keep and update accurate maintenance records on all equipment and facility.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as requested or directed.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with all departments and machine manufactures services technicians.
- High School education or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in hydraulics, electronics, and pneumatics.
- To ensure a smooth-running, well-maintained facility.
- To minimize downtime due to machine or equipment failure.
- To provide clear and accurate records of maintenance activities performed.
- To communicate problems/issues in the manufacturing facility to the maintenance supervisor.
- Must possess a basic understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints.
- Must understand all support equipment associated with injection molding. (Thermolators, Spru Pickers, Grinders, etc)
- Maintain all P/M records as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
- Must be capable of general fabrication such as welding and brazing.
- Must be capable in general plumbing using PVC and/or galvanized pipe.
- Must be capable in general electrical wiring, conduit bending and fabrication.
