Job Description

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Provide general support and development of CHEMRES Trinity products. Support internal and external customer satisfaction through the development of new products and technologies to meet customer needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Manage the Olefin Development Lab. Provide material to support the development of new customer applications in a timely manner.

· Ensuring successful, correct replication of new customer products at CHEMRES Trinity by preparing new customer/product control plans, formulation and raw material support, leading and appropriately following up (technical) on customer trials.

· Provide color, quality & manufacturing support through manufacturing/quality staff and also set and control the customers’ expectations.

· Responsible for ensuring that established production systems & procedures at CHEMRES Trinity are robust, documented and followed so that the production team meets company utilization, changeover, quality & safety goals.

· Support manufacturing, suppliers and customers with analytical testing and support to ensure quality raw materials are received and quality product is manufactured

· Lead Corrective Action efforts – internal and customer – to ensure permanent solutions to internal and customer issues – using 8-D, 5-Why and Fishbone problem solving approaches

· Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

· Personal protective equipment (PPE) procedures must be followed.

· Maintain company safety, housekeeping and environmental standards.

· Other duties as assigned by Technical Group Manager.

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5 years related laboratory/quality/plastic processing experience

· Compounding, formulation, specimen molding & testing and data reporting experience.

· Root cause analysis

· Must possess excellent interpersonal, people management and problem solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication.

· Detail oriented, disciplined, ability to prioritize & multi-task

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to lift 55lbs.

· Must have color vision

· Have use of fingers and hands for writing and typing

· Ability to climb straight incline ladders.

· Occasionally reach with hands & arms; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl.
