About Chem-Pak

Chem-Pak serves as the manufacturing arm for national brands, producing both industrial and consumer products that are sold in Home Depot, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Wal-Mart.

Our team, composed of chemists and project managers, helps develop new products and bring them to market, while our supply chain and production group handles the manufacturing and delivery of products to store shelves.

We are located in Martinsburg, WV, which is an easy commute from Winchester, Hagerstown, and other surrounding areas.

Job purpose

To ensure the production of high-quality products by overseeing the Quality Technicians, performing product testing, and assisting in the implementation and improvement of the Quality Management System.

Duties and responsibilities

• Provide guidance and direction to the Quality Technicians.
• Perform laboratory analysis on chemical batches and finished products before and throughout production.
• Ensure production and quality standards are being met.
• Establish, review and complete Quality documentation and records as necessary.
• Assist in the investigation of internal and customer issues and complete RCFAs as needed.
• Perform internal process audits.
• Assist in the new product development review process and specification development.
• Assist with supplier management and incoming inspection.
• Collect and analyze inspection results for improvement opportunities.
• Provide support to the Quality Manager and Technical Department as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED required; continued education preferred.
• Ability to work independently with little guidance from Manager.
• Knowledge of how to use basic measuring equipment.
• Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to learn and work within multiple computer systems.
• Laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience with lab equipment such as pH meters and viscometers preferred.

Physical requirements

This job requires the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
