Summer Assistant Supervisor

The Summer Assistant Supervisor provides supervision and instruction to subordinate staff at assigned location, takes an active role in one or more aspects of staff orientation, maintains reasonable discipline, promote good sportsmanship and assure safe play on the playground, provides on-site training and support to subordinate staff, communicates with parents, children, and Summer Supervisor, reports hours worked by each staff person at assigned location to the Summer Supervisor, organizes and conducts all programs and special events held throughout the summer at assigned location, prepares weekly lesson plans, attendance information and other statistical information as requested, maintains a safe environment, including notifying Summer Supervisor of any playground equipment, ground maintenance, or facility problem, and evaluates program and give feedback to immediate Supervisor.

Requirements:

- Prior supervising, directing, managing of playground experience required, or day camp group or equivalent is required

- Must be 16 years of age or older

- Reliable and Responsible

- Possess ability to instruct and interact with children and adults

- Possess good management and organization skills

- First Aid/CPR/AED Certified

- PA Child Abuse Clearance and FBI Clearance
