Position: High School Physics & Chemistry TeacherLocation: Chelmsford High SchoolGeneral Description: Chelmsford High School is seeking an energetic and collaborative high school Science teacher certified in Physics and Chemistry. As the landscape of student enrollment changes, the teacher may see a variety of Physics and Chemistry course loads. The Physics and Chemistry Science teacher teaches Grade 10-12 students, working closely with the Science Coordinator and will: * Utilize current Physics and Chemistry coursework pacing guides as a foundation for instruction. * Actively ensure student safety through hands-on laboratory settings. * Teach students how to use computer programs and hardware (i.e. Vernier, LoggerPro, etc.). * Grade assignments, keep records of grades, and perform other administrative duties as needed. * Create lesson plans that are standards and curriculum aligned. * Utilize digital software (Google Apps for Education, ClassKick, etc.) to augment student learning. * Read and stay abreast of current topics in Physics and Chemistry. * Participate in Industry connections related to Innovation Pathways. * Work with your coordinator to ensure initiatives are met. * Support students and parents with course-related questions and issues. * Perform such other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned. * Candidates should have a strong foundation in the Science & Engineering Practices and foster a dynamic and exciting learning environment.
