Job Summary:

The Maintenance Coordinator supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing all aspects of property maintenance within a residential or commercial property management setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating, scheduling and performing maintenance activities, including repairs, routine inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist in overseeing the work of contractors to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders & repair logs.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to residents or tenants.
• Coordinate with staff to address maintenance-related concerns and ensure tenant satisfaction.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents or tenants, addressing their maintenance requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications in maintenance or property management is preferred.
• Previous experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, tenants, contractors, owners and team members.
• Basic knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general construction principles.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and computer applications for scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, enter crawl spaces and perform physical tasks related to property maintenance.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular business hours.

Hours & Pay

• Hours are 9:00-5:00 M-F and occasional after hours for emergency calls
• Pay to be determined depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
