Job Description

COMC is looking to hire a Senior Strategic Finance Manager to lead our strategic finance and FP&A efforts. As our first strategic finance hire, you’ll play an instrumental role in helping us build a results-driven, equitable, and thriving growth environment through generating robust financial models and operating plans. With direct reporting to the CFO and opportunity to grow, you will have a high degree of visibility in the entire finance function and hence the opportunity to build a diverse set of experiences for your career. You will understand the financial and operational drivers of our business at a granular level and own the company’s operating planin addition to working on a multitude of projects in partnership with other departments. You will have lots of opportunities to learn and grow within our growing company, demonstrating your experience and building out valuable new skill sets.

This cross-functional role interfaces with Operations, People Ops, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, and Product. You will build and own the company’s operating plan, forecast and financial models for other strategic initiatives. You will play a critical role in helping guide leadership’s decisions by deeply understanding and modeling the quantitative and qualitative aspects of various company initiatives. You will also have an opportunity to work with our BI/data analyst on high impact projects, providing leaders with clarity and insights through your analysis and observations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual operating plan and rolling forecast process.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to forecast business performance and guide strategic decision-making such as pricing or lease vs buy.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the business goals.
  • Provide analytical support for business expansion initiatives and capital investment decisions.
  • Drive the automation and improvement of financial reporting and analysis processes.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure a holistic view and reporting of the company's financial position and KPIs.
  • Develop and implement a resource allocation framework for optimizing resource allocation to support company objectives and maximize ROI.

Qualifications


Job Qualifications

  • 6 years of FP&A or strategic finance experience. Experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, VC or PE firm is a bonus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with demonstrated ability to work through complex data and deliver insightful analysis.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel modelling with hands-on experience building detailed forecasts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of conveying complex financial information and recommendations to non-financial personnel.
