The Shift Supervisor assists the Assistant Program Director and Program Supervisor with the oversight of their assigned shifts . This will be at our 1:3 STARR Adolescent Co-Ed Group Home programs for youth’s ranging from 12-18 years old. The youths we service are referred by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Department of Mental Health (DMH).
The shift supervisor ensures that the maximum integration of CHD services are being carried out efficiently and effectively. The Shift Supervisor works within the Agency's team model, establishing open communication, support and accountability among program staff. S/he assists in the overall functioning of the shift to meet the needs of the youth and their families. Shift Supervisor functions in a lead capacity for a group of staff and must be able to schedule and control the daily shift responsibilities. This entails the Shift Supervisor to delegate shift duties to team mates for the shift and to ensure there is follow through to ensure such tasks are done
At the direction of the AD or PS He/She will provide supervision to the staff ensuring that the policies and procedures of the program are being followed and that the staff receive information, training, and guidance that promotes their growth and development. He/She is accountable to the Assistant Program Director and receives supervision from his/her immediate supervisor.
