Clinical Manager, Pooler GA: Must be a Licensed Speech, Occupational or Physical Therapist

Clinical Manager Purpose: Ensures the team of Speech, Occupational and Physical therapists are successful in every aspect of their positions; Promotes a nurturing and supportive environment where developmentally challenged children reach their fullest potential through completion of the therapeutic process (from evaluation to treatment, progress, and discharge) so they may live their best lives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Empowers and encourages clinicians through exceptional leadership and management of clinical leadership team and the clinical team as a whole.
  • Oversees development of clinical growth programs.
  • Fosters a positive culture that embodies Chatterbox Core Values of Service, Compassion, Growth, Teamwork, Perseverance and Integrity.
  • Works closely with HR manager to ensure that proper supervision, onboarding, and training of new hires is completed.
  • Encourages clinicians to reach their fullest potential by promoting a growth mindset and "go-getter" attitude within the clinical team.
  • Maintains a prorated caseload relative to the quantity of staff directly supervising/size of clinical team.
  • Performs skilled therapeutic services within clinical scope of practice, including screening, evaluation, performing / interpreting standardized assessments, establishing / updating plans of care, treatment, home education programs, reassessment of progress, re-evaluation, discharge and consultation with clients and other professionals.
  • Contributes to other divisions in the company including Human Resources, Client Services, Finance, Quality, Community, Executive. Contributes to the company's annual strategic plan.
  • Attends weekly meetings and presents on status and success of clinical team of their location. Sets weekly, monthly, and annual targets to ensure annual goals are met.
  • Identifies areas in need of clinical growth for clinical team/juniors; advocates and research/develops plan for training.
  • Assists with modifying and creating policies and procedures pertaining to clinical division.
  • Regularly seeks out continued learning opportunities for areas of clinical growth and leadership, training up others on skills learned.
  • Chart audits for clinic site
  • 1:1s with OT, PT, ST Leads of clinic
  • Annual Reviews
  • Serves as mentor or CF Supervisor of new graduates (SLP)
  • Updating policies and procedures for clinical team to ensure streamlined flow
  • Informs clinicians of changes and guides through change
  • Keeps up to date with billing, coding and reimbursement trends of all 3 disciplines.

CLINICAL PRACTICE: Maintains a pro-rated caseload relative to number of direct reports. Provide direct patient care on average of 60% of scheduled hours (24). Advance schedules up to 28, allowing for 12 hours weekly of dedicated admin and documentation time. (4 hours more than regular clinicians)

Demonstrates advanced clinical practice in either Occupational, Speech, or Physical therapy and is a clinical mentor for staff. Provides coaching regarding all clinical and non-clinical duties of therapists. Leads patient care teams and represents the department in clinic-wide and/or community-based committees. Responsible for orienting, training, checking the work of others, maintaining workflow status, tracking employee time on the timekeeping system and providing input on performance and hire/fire decisions.

Assists with treating flex patients (treatments and evaluations) when other admin responsibilities are low

Salary: $65,000 plus quarterly bonuses

Qualifications:

  • Exceptionally skilled and respected therapy clinician who can supervise others.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience with the pediatric population (preferably in a private practice setting)
  • Personally aligned with the organizational goals of the company. (required).
  • Motivates others to work together as a team to reach organizational goals of the company.
  • Engages others through appropriate verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills (with both adults and children)
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills and possesses the desire to build up leaders (required).
  • Can view situations from various viewpoints when assisting with various conflicts (required)
