Chattanooga College has an immediate opportunity at our Brainerd campus for a Full-Time Faculty instructor to teach students in the LPN program. There are multiple positions including didactic and clinical instruction. We are looking for applicants with flexible availability between day, afternoon, and evening classes. Reports to-Director of Nursing
Purpose of Position:
The faculty member will be responsible for didactic instruction, curriculum, and student educational experience. The faculty member will provide didactic instruction, assist with curricula development and revising, student support, and overseer of didactic instructors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Teach a minimum of 12 courses per year a. Faculty may teach the same course more than once a year to count towards the requirement of teaching courses
2. Attend PAC and annual Chattanooga College meetings a. PAC meetings are held twice a year (Spring/Fall) b. Annual Chattanooga College meeting (Spring)
3. Assist with developing & revising the curriculum a. Annual program assessment & program reviews NCLEX pass rate follow up with graduates until NCLEX is taken
Retention
4. Student support-provides student assistance
5. Classrooms-ensures supplies needed for the classroom are available
6. Assist with onboarding of new adjunct
7. Overseer of didactic instructors
Qualifications:
1. Maintain an active unrestrictive RN license (must be able to practice in TN)
2. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
3. Maintain current BLS
4. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required Master's degree preferred
