About us

Chattanooga Charter School of Excellence is a K-12 Charter School in Chattanooga, TN.

Seeking a Computer Technician for full-time work at K-12 school. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience. Salary range is $42,000 - $45,000 annually. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance provided. Earn 12 PTO days per year plus vacation.

The Computer Technician supports use of technology devices in the classroom to enhance student learning and staff instructional practices. To accomplish these tasks the Computer Technician must work closely with the administration to provide technical support and act as a link between end users and higher-level IT support.

Qualifications:

  • Formal education and/or training in computer science, computer repair and/or related technologies.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repair of computer equipment in a multi-OS, stand-alone and network environment.
  • Experience with troubleshooting software related issues for a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office and Google Suites.
  • Capable of using computers and software relating to maintenance and inventory.
  • Strong people skills in working around students and working with technical and non-technical people.
  • Proven ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Have a valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
  • Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
  • Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching.
  • Must work in noisy and crowded environments.

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain school technology devices, equipment and related resources that are used, distributed and maintained for instructional use according to CCSE technology policy and procedures.
  • Initiate, log and complete work orders requesting technical support and acting as a link between end users and higher-level IT support when needed.
  • Coordinate with the school’s IT and Network Service provider to provide support and repair for school technology.
  • Maintain inventory of school technology equipment and resources.
  • Move equipment and materials within and between school buildings.
  • Communicate effectively with school administration staff, technology service providers and vendors to facilitate daily school technology needs for school instructional activities.
  • Appropriately operate and maintain tools, equipment and machinery as necessary.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness and efficiency in all school technology duties.
  • React to change and handle other tasks as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Administrators or COO.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
