Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate a Paratransit vehicle to transport the elderly and persons with disabilities over specified routes and under varying traffic and weather conditions.
• Communicate with people in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist passengers as needed and maintain established time schedules.
• Process daily paperwork and other miscellaneous duties.
• Assist passengers from door of pick up to the door of delivery. Frequent kneeling, bending, twisting and standing are required to assist both persons with disabilities.

* Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to establish and maintain courteous and effective public relations and communicate clearly and verbally in English
• Must have a clean and neat personal appearance and must have extreme flexibility, as the schedule may vary on a day-to-day basis
• Must have the ability to operate passenger-carrying vehicles skillfully and must have an acceptable driving record.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a California Class B license or permit, passenger endorsement and air brake certification prior to hire

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.49 per hour

• Weekends only

Experience:

• Commercial Driving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• CDL (Preferred)
• Passenger Endorsement (Required)
