Receiving Coordinator

As a Receiving Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the overall coordination of the receiving department in our warehouse.

If you’ve ever wondered what owning your own business is like, just ask an Employee Owner of Chatsworth Products (CPI). Better yet, become one! CPI has an immediate need for a Receiving Coordinator in CPI’s Georgetown, Texas location.

As a Receiving Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement, control, and data accuracy of material moving through the receiving and warehouse areas. You will work with purchasing to coordinate inbound transportation. Perform cycle counts, inventory transactions, daily audits and CRAs. Use Barcoding.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Receives, verifies, and delivers incoming materials.
  2. Stocks material in warehouse and floor locations.
  3. Fills material and supply requisitions.
  4. Unloads trucks.
  5. Adjusts stocking locations to accommodate the daily flow and storage of materials.
  6. Clears daily shortages in ERP and performs daily audits.
  7. Performs cycle counts of material in the warehouse and on the shop floor. Investigates and resolves discrepancies.
  8. Keys or scans inventory transactions into the manufacturing system.
  9. Manages CRA records.
  10. Copies and distributes paperwork, as needed.
  11.  Maintains records and files paperwork in accordance with established procedures.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. May manually handle, repack, or repalletize materials.
  2. Must operate a forklift truck, pallet jack, parts counting scales, stretch wrapper, and other material handling devices.
  3. Operates various types of office equipment.
  4. Uses a computer to enter data and prepare paperwork.
  5. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Technical Competencies:

  • Basic reading, writing and numerical ability.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of relevant work experience.
  • Good knowledge of material control duties.
  • Knowledge of Barcoding strongly preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to obtain an operator’s permit for operation of forklift truck.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, carrying, stooping and crouching.
  • Gross and manual dexterity.
  • Motor coordination skills.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs.
