SummaryAs a Cath Lab RN at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, you will be responsible for providing nursing care during special procedures, such as Angiography and Cardiac Catheterization. Your role involves caring for multiple patients, prioritizing patient flow, and adhering to established policies and procedures. This position requires quick decision-making, quality service delivery, and effective communication with colleagues, departments, and medical staff. Immediate availability and a 30-minute call response time are essential for this role.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree required
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in Florida, BLS, and ACLS required within 90 days of hire
- Experience: 1 year acute care experience required, 1 year critical care experience preferred
- Proficiency in English reading and writing for transferring physician's orders
- Physical ability to lift over 100 pounds with assistance
- Knowledge of cardiac drugs and arrhythmias
- Familiarity with sterile procedures
- Effective communication and empathy towards patients, families, and colleagues
- Willingness to work in an environment exposed to ionizing radiation and wearing lead aprons
All Cath Lab RNs must reside within a 30-minute radius of Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
Additional Information
- Shift: Monday-Friday, day shifts, with no weekend work
- Experience: Minimum 1-year RN experience, Cath lab experience preferred, ICU/ED/CC experience accepted
- On-call duty required
- Salary Range: $24 to $37 per hour, commensurate with experience
- Sign-on Bonus: $10,000 with a 2-year commitment
- Relocation assistance limited case by case
- Shift Differentials: $4.50 for night shifts only, 11 am - 11 pm
