The primary purpose of this position is to: Process Tax Sale/Resale proceeds from foreclosure-property sold by Constables or other law firms. Timely distribute checks to appropriate entities and update the database with the relevant information.

Job Description: 

1. Research property sale information.
2. Verify occurred sale costs against paid sale costs.
3. Proofread property description, sale and resale deeds.
4. Enter all data on payment transmittal sheet.
5. Pay unpaid costs.
6. Prorate taxes due.
7. Distribute proceeds among involved entities.
8. Print all related document from litigation, Constable, and County Clerk websites.
9. Advise if judgment taxes to be paid or canceled.
10. Ensure all amounts were proof supported.
11. Put notes in Oracle Check Tracking.
12. Prepare zero balance transmittals as requested by the client.
13. Correct any errors made by other entities/Constable/the client and by requests.
14. Review and sign transmittals done by others.
15. Batch all sale check transmittals to be sent out.
16. Stack transmittals in order as shown on batch sheet.
17. Label addressees for all out going sale check batches.
18. Assist and back-up special payments clerk, as needed.
19. All other duties as assigned

11. Sales Check Transmittal Clerks are expected to work with little supervision once fully trained.
12. Audit sale transmittal sheets done by team members.
