Job Details Level Experienced Job Location Chase Oaks Church - 241 Legacy Drive - Plano, TX Position Type Full Time JOB SUMMARY: The Production Director will focus on the overall management of the Production Ministry and oversee the Production staff specialists, budget, and production equipment at all Chase Oaks facilities. The Production Director is responsible to manage the vision of the audio, video, and lighting systems and the experience these systems provide, both inside and out of Chase Oaks facilities. The Production Director will manage campus projects, outside events, internal events, and production requests for all Chase Oaks. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and communicate to production team on a weekly basis and develop a healthy environment and culture
Design and integrate audio, video, lighting, and production IT systems across all Chase Oaks facilities
Oversee weekly maintenance and installations
Provide support for weekend worship experiences
Establish processes and equipment standardization guidelines to maintain a scalable campus model
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot broadcast audio, video, lighting, and production IT at a high level across Chase Oaks
Oversee audio, video and lighting systems associated with new builds and construction projects
Facilitate and manage training on audio, video, lighting, and computer systems
Provide technical support to campus production teams during worship experiences
Manage inventory, budgeting, and purchases of all technical assets across Chase Oaks
Operate production equipment at a high level
Create clear systems and procedures related to production technology
Clearly communicate a vision around the use of audio, video, and lighting technologies and their role in creating an overall worship experience.
Oversee and manage Chase Oaks projects and internal events at campuses
Oversee a team of Production Specialists to achieve the overall vision
JOB PROFILE: SPECIFIC SKILLS / STRENGTHS
Ability to multi-task and work independently in carrying out assignments to completion
Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
Strong leadership skills; ability to collaborate with tech specialists to execute vision for weekend experience
Strong working knowledge of live and broadcast audio infrastructure, interfacing, and concepts at a high level (ex. DiGiCo, AVID, ProTools, Dante, Adobe Premiere, MADI)
Strong working knowledge of broadcast video infrastructure, interfacing, and concepts at a high level (ex. SMPTE 2110, SDI, HD SDI, Ross Video, Grass Valley)
Strong working knowledge of theatrical lighting infrastructure, interfacing, and concepts utilizing DMX based infrastructure at a high level (ex. Art Net, DMX, KlingNet, Jands Vista)
Strong working knowledge of private networking for signal and data transport
Strong working knowledge of ProPresenter.
Strong working knowledge of setup, install, and management of Windows/MacOS operating systems and the hardware associated
Ability to terminate a variety of AVL cabling (ex. CAT cable, SDI cable, XLR cable, and DMX cable)
Comfort with and understanding of responsible use of power tools, ladders, aerial lifts and test equipment
Ability to create and utilize structures made from various materials (ex. theatrical sets)
Ability to organize and manage tech requests, maintenance schedules, and production team in a healthy and effective manner.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE DESIRED
Vocational/college degree in a technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
3 years of technical experience working in AVL or other relevant field (preferably in a church or worship environment)
CTS or other AV Industry certifications desired but not required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This is the lead role of the Production Technology Team and this role will supervise a team of full-time Production Specialists
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to speak effectively and understandably on the phone. The ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries regarding the Chase Oaks technical environment is also required.
Must have excellent communication / customer service skills and be able to interface with the Chase Oaks Staff, guests, and members.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook calendaring, and email
Basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Data entry skill & experience
Familiarity with Databases
