The mission of Local Good Coffee Co. is to provide a place where all feel welcome to connect, create, replenish, and enjoy great food and drinks while living out the good that makes our community great.

Local Good Coffee Co. is a ministry of Chase Oaks Church. All Coffee Co. employees will be hired and evaluated on their understanding of, and ability to carry out, the mission of Local Good Coffee Co.

JOB SUMMARY:

Baristas report to the Local Good Coffee Co. General Manager and are responsible for creating a culture of excellent hospitality through the following:

  • Create a warm and inviting space where all feel welcomed through excellent service
  • Practice hospitality habits set forth by the General Manager. This includes attention to the details of guest service and interaction, food and drink preparation, cleanliness, and timeliness.
  • Abide by all systems for product storing, sales, service, and guest interaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to the Local Good Coffee Co. Employee Handbook, including regulations on punctuality, shift swaps, and schedules
  • Care for team members as you would care for yourself
  • Demonstrate excellent hospitality for all guests always
  • Communicate problems, plans, and changes to the GM effectively
  • Develop an expert knowledge of coffee; communicate it effectively through beautiful and delicious drinks.
  • Follow training for timeliness, opening/closing, store cleanliness, dialing in espresso/brewed coffee, prepping and serving foods, making drinks, checking out customers, cleaning kitchen/bar/tables, stocking, and closing register

PAY RANGE: Starts at $12/hr; adjusted for experience/ability plus benefit package

EXPERIENCE DESIRED

  • Previous experience in coffee and food service desired but not required. Training provided

CERTIFICATION DESIRED

  • Certified Food Handler

  • Ability to communicate effectively and understandably with customers and other Local Good Coffee Co. staff, with high attention to customer service

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Ability to use the Point of Sale System with proficiency
