Bliffert Lumber and Hardware has recently acquired several lumber yards. Due to the expansion, our location in Germantown, WI is currently recruiting for a Yard Associate. This is a full-time position. The primary duties for this position are:

• Receive in material by helping to unload vendor trucks and verify counts for accuracy
• Loading and unloading company trucks
• Loading and Unloading windows, doors, lumber in outdoor yards
• Box/pickup truck deliveries or pickups if needed
• Provide friendly assistance to customers in answering questions and making suggestions
• Cutting and/or sawing of product to customer requirements
• Loading materials on customer vehicles
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse and lumber yard
• Assist with periodic physical inventory counts
• Effectively coordinate daily tasks with co-workers and supervisors
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements for this position are:

• Ability to be certified in operating forklifts – certification will be provided
• Strong navigational and problem solving skills
• Positive customer service skills
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects from 25 – 125 lb
• Must be able to work outdoors for a full shift regardless of weather conditions
• Previous forklift experience is a plus
