CSA School District is seeking a Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach to join an outstanding, hardworking team at CSA’s MS/HS campus in Brighton, MI.

Schedule: Monday- Friday during the HS Boys Winter basketball season, 12 hours per week. Desire candidate to be available for summer and off-season activities as well.

Requirements:

• Candidates for this position must have basketball coaching experience working with high school aged youth.
• Must be passionate about the sport of basketball.
• Must abide by the MHSAA/NFHS basketball rules and all governing institutions which oversee Michigan High School athletics.
• Candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of all areas of basketball including and not limited to (game strategy, offenses, defenses, presses, inbounds plays, game matchups, film breakdown, etc.) 
• Candidate must be able to develop all players skill sets and work with them to promote a "team mentality" for the game of basketball. 
• Coaching candidate must be able to work with student athletes developing in them a passion for the sport.
• Candidate must be able to assist student athletes who desire athletic scholarship opportunites with proper coaching counsel.
• Strong communication skills are required for the position. Our coaches will be working with various school groups such as adminstration, boosters, parents, players and other coaching staff and faculty where excellent communication skills are a must. This candidate must be able to work with or direct our lower level boys basketball team coaches, within the school district, to implement a multi-age level basketball skill advancement program at Charyl Stockwell Schools. This head coaching candidate must have the leadership and knowledge to implement this player development program.
• Candidate must be able to work with our baketball players in the off-season and attend/host summer camps.
• Candidate must successfully pass a background check to work within our school district.
• Current First aid and CPR certification is a plus and will be required for the successful candidate.
