Summary:Provides Physical Therapy services to patients of all ages including adolescents, adults and
geriatric patients who are referred; Evaluates the Physical Therapy needs of the patient; Develops goals and treatment plan in conjunction with the patient and family/significant other; Implements treatment program; Provides education to patients, families and caregivers; Supervises Physical Therapy Assistants, students and support staff in compliance with hospital and state regulatory policies.
Education: Bachelor of Science, Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from a Physical Therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Licensure: License and/or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist from the Department of Health, Division of Professional Regulation, State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. BLS Required.
Experience: One year experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs., and requires frequent standing, walking, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Good visual and auditory acuity as well as good manual dexterity required.
