Charlottesville Abundant Life Ministries is Hiring a Young Women's Program Coordinator Near Charlottesville, VA

Charlottesville Abundant Life Ministries, a faith-based nonprofit committed to holistic community development in the Prospect Avenue area, currently seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Young Women’s Program Coordinator. The Young Women’s Programming Coordinator will thoroughly commit to Charlottesville Abundant Life Ministries’ mission, values, and Christian Community Development philosophy. Reporting to the Programs Director, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading our Young Women's Programs, Royal Girls (5th - 8th grade) and A.S.P.I.R.E. (9th grade - PG). The Young Women’s Program Coordinator will accomplish this with the heart and actions of a servant leader.

Responsibilities:

Youth Development:

  • Lead weekly, faith-based evening mentoring program for young women (grades 5th - 8th), and transition programming into a six-week Summer Camp format.
  • Lead semimonthly, faith-based evening mentoring program for young women (grades 9th - PG).
  • Establish a secure and stimulating environment for adolescents, teenagers, and their families.
  • Serve as a mentor to empower youth to foster a positive faith-based identity.
  • Facilitate relationships between volunteers and youth participants.
  • Collaborate with the Young Men’s Program Coordinator to meet common programming metrics.

Volunteer Management:

  • Organize and conduct volunteer orientations and trainings to properly equip volunteers to serve.
  • Conduct monthly volunteer check-ins, offer and receive feedback and prayer

Logistics:

  • Develop Fall/Spring and Summer programming frameworks on time to properly and proactively communicate with community partners (residents, churches, agencies, businesses, schools).
  • Coordinate and execute youth programming trips, including local outings and overnight trips.
  • Safely transport youth using organization-provided transportation to and from program locations.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, meal distribution, and program evaluations utilizing Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.), and Neon One.
  • Organize and manage programming equipment, supplies, and facilities efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to create and maintain a board-approved budget.

Community Outreach:

  • Regularly communicate with program participants, parents/guardians, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery and engagement.
  • Represent the organization at volunteer recruitment events to expand our capacity to serve more families effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Familiar with or willing to learn the CCD philosophy of community development.
  • Previous experience in youth development, volunteer coordination, community organizing, or related areas are highly desirable.
  • The ability to translate vision into achievable strategic objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrate a desire for professional and spiritual growth, with a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
  • A current and valid state driver’s license and 21 years of age or older to transport youth.
  • The ability to drive a Type A is a plus.

Compensation:

Salary: $30,420.00 - $33,540 Part-time (30 hrs/wk)
