This position is a going to be split between Charlotte Harbor School and CTC. The individual will report to CHC 40% of the time or 2 days a week and to CTC 60% of the time or 3 days a week.

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of successful teaching experience
  • Three (3) years of teaching experience with CCPS
  • Certification in Elementary Education or Secondary Core Area (ELA, Reading, Math, Social Studies, and/or Science)
  • Reading Endorsement or willingness to complete within one (1) year
  • ESOL Endorsement (300 hour) or willingness to complete within two (2) years
  • Clinical Ed training or willingness to complete within one (1) year

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Working knowledge of NET program requirements

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Assists teachers in developing strategies for effective student learning with an emphasis on, with proper credentials, reading, writing, and math.
  2. Works with students as needed.
  3. Gathers student data through observation, dialogue, testing tools, etc., to design alternative strategies to meet diagnosed student needs.
  4. Facilitates the use of data for increased student achievement.
  5. Implements ways to facilitate parental involvement and parent education in order to increase student learning.
  6. Assists teachers in the implementation of curriculum integration with special emphasis on communication skills.
  7. Models effective strategies for teaching communication and/or math skills and their application with proper credentials.
  8. Assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the school’s School Improvement Plan.
  9. Supports teachers in the implementation of the Student Progression Plan, School Improvement Plan, and District Strategic Plan.
  10. Serves as “Lead Learner” at the school site.
  11. Delivers, designs, facilitates, and coordinates professional learning for all instructional staff at the school site.
  12. Serves as a resource to the MTSS Team.
  13. Performs other job-related functions as assigned.
