EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Minimum Education and Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent is required. Possession of an Associates Degree in Fire Science Technology or Emergency Medical Services Technology or equivalent is preferred. Licenses and/or Certificates: Possession and maintenance of a valid State of Florida Drivers license (Class E minimum)DOH approved certification as a Paramedic, State of FloridaCertification as a Firefighter, State of FloridaValid certification and maintenance as an A.C.L.S. providerE.V.O.C. certification must be obtained within 90 days of employmentMust be at least 18 years of age SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Working Conditions: Very frequent exposure to changes in temperature and humidity. Risk/Safety Conditions: Frequently around moving equipment, exposure to dust, gases and fumes, slippery or irregular surfaces, and moving objects. Occasional exposure to excessive noise levels. Physical Activities: Frequent heavy lifting of over 50 pounds. Constant standing. Very frequent speaking and hearing,and detailed inspection/reading/editing. Frequent walking, sitting and bending/stooping. Occasional writing, reaching over head, kneeling and crawling.
