Overview:
We are seeking dynamic, dedicated Piano, Vocal, and Guitar Instructors to join our faculty at Charlotte Academy of Music. If you have a love for music education and are a skilled musician with teaching experience, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:
- Provide lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students, inspiring a love for music
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and goals
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Communicate regularly with each student's parents/guardians to communicate about progress and goals
- If proficient in other instruments, offer lessons in those areas

- Other teaching opportunities such as workshops, master classes, and summer camps are offered to CAM faculty members throughout the year.

Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Music or related field, or equivalent experience in teaching
- A strong understanding of music theory and how to prepare students to concerts, auditions, etc
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students

A minimum daily teaching schedule of at least 4 afterschool hours and commitment to at least 12 months is required. Many of our instructors teach 5 hours and several days per week. This position is flexible allowing for 1-3 teaching days, dependent upon the availability of the instructor.

We offer competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.

A phone interview will be arranged with qualified candidates, followed by an in-person interview with the owner.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
