Responsibilities
Schedule
Monday - Friday, Saturday work during high season, May - November
The Role
The Accounting Specialist maintains business transactions of the organization, applying GAAP that includes analytical work and thorough review of accounting records, inlcuding payroll transactions.
Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To
- Weekly cash receipts entry, check scanning and bank deposits.
- Review aged accounts receivable and contact customers for late payments.
- Working with sales to research short pays, entering credits if needed.
- Process weekly grower accounting payments.
- Process weekly AP invoice entry and check payments.
Peripheral Duties:
- Any other ad hoc projects as assigned by the Controller.

Qualifications
Required Experience
- AA or higher in Business/Accounting or 1-2 years of accounting experience.
- Experience with Accounting/ Payroll Software (Datatech, QuickBooks, Great Plains, ADP Workforce, etc.)
- Prior experience in analysis and in depth problem solving.
- Highly accurate with strong organization skills, ability to work on projects simultaneously.
- Ability to use mathematical methods and formulas to analyze data with high accuracy.
- Knowledge of computer programs, MS Word/Excel, Google sheets.
- Excellent communicator with good business acumen.
- Ability to work well with others and individually.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish, a plus.
