Charleston Pediatric Rehabilitation is Hiring a BCBA Near Charleston, SC

We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). We have served the Charleston pediatric population for more than 21 years. The BCBA will play a pivotal role in overseeing the clinical aspect of our services, while also ensuring that authorizations for treatment are approved in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Oversight:
    • Conduct functional assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans for clients.
    • Provide ongoing supervision in a clinic setting and support a small team of 2-3 Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
    • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the progress of clients and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
    • Conduct regular parent/guardian meetings to provide updates on client progress and address any concerns.
  2. Authorization Management:
    • Training will be provided. This is not an expectation upon hiring. 
    • Collaborate with insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate authorization of ABA services.
    • Prepare and submit authorization requests, including all necessary documentation and assessments.
    • Follow up on authorization requests, appeals, and any necessary documentation to secure approvals.
  3. Client Caseload Management:
    • Manage a caseload of approximately 10 clients, providing direct ABA therapy and clinical oversight.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive client records, including progress notes, behavior plans, and relevant assessments.
    • Ensure that all services provided align with best practices and the highest ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • Experience in ABA therapy, functional assessments, and developing behavior intervention plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for authorization management.
