We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team in Louisville, KY.
Position Summary
As a Data Analyst, you would be responsible for performing complex analysis of data from various sources to assist with reporting, data conversion and creating Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) solutions. Knowledge of various reporting solutions such as Microsoft Power BI, SAP, and Access are required. This position reports to the VP, Information Technology and would be part of a team that handles all data requests for US operations within Charles Taylor TPA.
Essential Functions
  • Provide expertise to help translate business requirements into information deliverables.
  • Provide support to other technical teams as well as various business units.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality and integrity.
  • Collects, studies, and analyzes data to inform and determine suggested courses of action.
  • Create data flow maps, process guides, and other support documents that describe collection, archiving, management, and retrieval processes for program evaluation data.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to create dashboards and reports.
  • Use SQL query skills to assist with report creation and data transformation.
  • Create reports using a variety of tools and formats such as Excel, Power BI, SAP, PDFs, etc.
  • Document methods, specifications, and findings clearly; contribute to the writing and the presentation of results, findings, and conclusions.
  • Detect and correct problems within SQL script.
  • Work closely with manager to complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Microsoft certification related to Power BI or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of experience directly related to data analysis.
  • Prior understanding of the insurance industry a plus.
