Your Opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

We believe, when done right, investing liberates people to create their own destiny. We are driven by purpose to champion every client’s goals with passion and integrity. We respect and appreciate the diversity of our employees, our clients, and the communities we serve. We challenge conventions strategically to bring value for our clients, our firm, and the world. We live and bring to life the concept of ‘own your tomorrow’ every day. We champion our employee strengths, guide their development, and invest in their long-term success. We hire optimistic, results-oriented, curious, innovative, and adaptable people with the desire to help our clients and one another succeed.

Schwab’s Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) organization offers industry-leading wealth management experiences, through solutions like Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA) and Schwab Advisor Network (SAN), along with a broad range of investment products and solutions, to both retail and registered investment advisor (RIA) clients.

The goals of the WAS Strategy team are to deliver extraordinary strategy; conduct clear, consistent, fact-based analysis to inform key business decisions; and drive the allocation of scarce resources to the highest-value opportunity areas across Schwab.

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Business Strategy to help drive our strategy and operations by working directly with key leaders across our enterprise. This role will also collaborate closely with partners across Schwab in Retail, Advisor Services, Workplace, Schwab Asset Management, and corporate functions in aligning on recommendations that better serve our clients and drive growth for our business.

The Senior Manager of Business Strategy will:

  • Lead key strategic projects in collaboration with WAS offer management leaders and the senior leadership team; perform in-depth research (e.g. client research, offer concept testing, competitive analysis, industry standard practices), and develop analyses (e.g. modeling, pricing changes, market sizing)
  • Develop compelling presentations, deliver recommendations, and influence audiences at different levels across Schwab, from executives in partner organizations to employees on offer management teams
  • Contribute to the WAS Strategy, Planning and Operations department’s high-impact projects by developing your business acumen and supporting cross-enterprise efforts
  • Craft impactful executive presentations that articulate our vision, strategy, and progress for both internal and external audiences
  • Synthesize enterprise reporting of WAS business results to articulate key leadership insights to the WAS Leadership Team, on a quarterly basis

  • Highly resourceful, adaptable, and creative problem solver who can thrive in a dynamic environment, solve issues as they arise, and drive progress in the face of ambiguity
  • Ability to craft executive presentations for internal and external audiences that articulate our vision, strategy and progress
