Duties: Evaluates complex user requests, projects, and clarifies objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs. Improves/sustains embedded system software using specialized domain knowledge and developed business expertise. Performs product design & troubleshooting exercises of extremely high complexity which require extensive research and analysis. Leads system design and specification development, program logic and flow-charting, testing, debugging, and documentation. Will be responsible for making complex design choices to be used by the development teams. Leads moderate to highly complex programming tasks, providing review of various development tasks and documentation. Provides analysis of problems and recommends solutions. A key contributor in client/technology interactions in the development of technology solutions. Interfaces with Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure teams on strategic designs and initiatives. Leads the troubleshooting of complex problems in development and production environments, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Position allows for partial remote work (2-3 times in the office). Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Ann Arbor, MI. 

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details. 

Salary: $138,536 to $214,700 per year 

What you have

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field. Position requires 4 years of related experience which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Test-driven development; Understanding of financial trading and financial trading asset classes; Java, J2EE and web/internet and software development; Build, deploy and test automation tools like Junit, Test NJ, Selenium or related; Oracle database; Real time systems and distributed systems/software, real time processing, relational database systems, messaging systems; and Windows and Linux/Unix platforms.
