This role provides a meaningful opportunity for a highly motivated accounting professional to play a critical part managing the ongoing accounting processes for Schwab’s portfolio of derivatives. This role includes analyzing, reporting, reconciling, assessing fair value measurements, and testing system functionality. Additionally, this role has exposure to debt security accounting. Performing this role requires ongoing interaction with the external software consultants, Treasury Capital Markets, and Finance Systems and Process Transformation team, acting as the Bank Accounting team liaison with these departments. As part of the Corporate Controller’s Department, the Bank Accounting group is responsible for closing the books for the three bank subsidiaries and two trust companies with over $8 billion in derivatives, $265 billion in invested securities, and $40 billion of loans.
