Responsibilities:

• Supervise and recruit dental assistants
• Formulate monthly working schedule and assign day-to-day job responsibilities to dental assistants in accordance to dentists' schedule
• Maintain and update dental assistants' clinical protocol
• Ensure dental supplies are replenished on a timely manner
• Teach basic routine oral health education to our patients and community members via outreach events
• Perform day-to-day function of a dental assistant as needed
• Train staff in utilization of dental personal protective equipment
• Train new dental assistants and complete their competencies for review
• Ensure proper operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventory and evaluating new equipment and techniques
• Oversee and ensure that Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) are up to date and NIOSH testing are completed
• Monitor and maintain the monthly data logs for ICC
• Interpret and train other dental assistants of the change in SDSs
• Demonstrate an understanding of the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• College Degree or equivalent with three years of experience in dental field required
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Certified Dental Assistant preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and medical/dental electronic software
• Bilingual in English/Chinese preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $65,000.00 - 70,000.00 per year
