Essential Duties andResponsibilities:

• Identifies/researchesoutreach locations for presentations
• Liaisonswith community agencies to support development of an outreach calendar
• Drivesfinancial results through the implementation of the outreach and enrollmentplan for designated area
• Provides outreachpresentations and distributes patient recruitment materials (i.e. brochures,fliers) at community locations and to individuals in the community to increasepatient volume and health center revenue
• Counsels communitymembers on their healthcare options (including Medi-Cal, Covered CA, and theLos Angeles County My Health LA Program), including the provision of healthinsurance screenings via the web-based screening tool.
• Helpscommunity members complete health insurance application/submission for Medi-Cal,Covered CA, and the Los Angeles County My Health LA Program at a number ofpoints-of-entry (including health insurance enrollment shop (s), at enrollmentevents, and in the health center setting)
• Adhere toall policies as set forth by Medi-Cal, Covered CA, and the Los Angeles CountyMy Health LA Program
• UtilizeWeb based database system to enter and track outreach activities
• Supportsfollow-up with clients to ensure that they have activated their coverage (viapayment to Covered CA or selection of a health plan and primary care providervia Medi-Cal)
• Supportsretention activities for clients who have chosen ChapCare as their primary careprovider.
• Attending in state and out of state conferencesmay be required.
• Otheractivities assigned as required

Qualifications

Experience & Education:

• HighSchool Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Health, Communicationsor a related field (preferred).
• CertifiedApplication Counselor (CAC) or Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC)certification (preferred)

• Outreachand Community Engagement (preferred)
• Non-profitexperience (preferred)
• Salesexperience (preferred)

• Demonstratesa commitment to the agency’s mission
• Should be comfortabledeveloping relationships and working with key community stakeholders
• Comfortableand knowledgeable of the Health Care Industry a plus
• Strongpresentation skills
• Excellentwritten and verbal skills (excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation)
• Ability toread, analyze, and produce reports. Proficiency with Excel, Microsoft OfficeSuite
• Strongorganizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Demonstratescultural and linguistic competence. Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) a plus.
• Ability towork as a team member
• Ability towork evening and weekend hours as needed.
• Should bepleasant, neat, and well-groomed in representing the agency to the generalpublic
• Musthave a valid driver’s license and clear Department of Motor Vehicles record.This position requires the employee to drive 75% of the time in the assignedterritory.
