SUMMARY

Chaparral Boats, Inc and Robalo Boats, LLC are looking for a highly motivated individual who proves to be accurate, thorough, confidential, and possesses strong organizational skills. This individual will work alongside the Payroll Manager to assist with the payroll process on a weekly basis, as well as, perform other administrative duties and special projects. This position requires that the payroll assistant must be reliably present to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and other hours as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

· Efficiently use payroll software

· Examine electronic timesheets to ensure their accuracy

· Communicate with supervisors to confirm that timesheets are approved and employees are compensated accurately

· Meet all payroll deadlines

· Distribute hard copy pay stubs

· Generate, format, and distribute weekly reports

· Perform month-end duties, as instructed

· File and maintain organized electronic time keeping files

· Support other departments with administrative needs, as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· High school diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 plus years of administrative/payroll experience. Bookkeeping/Accounting experience preferred.

· Knowledge of general HR practices and procedures

· Familiarity with office equipment, such as printers, scanners, and phone systems

· Possess a passion for numbers and the capability of calculating time worked schedules, on a weekly basis

· Obtain accurate and efficient data entry skills

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

· Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

· Must perform duties with attention to detail and accuracy

· Must always act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
