Salary:

$21.45 depending on experience!

The Facilities Technician I is responsible for assisting the Facilities team in day to day building and landscape maintenance. They regularly inspect buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs, and conduct general maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and property structures.

Facilities Technician I

  • Ensure appropriate function and aesthetic of buildings, landscaping, and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs of facilities, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems including (but not limited to): painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds keeping, and various janitorial duties.
  • Maintain records of any work or inspections performed on-premises.
  • Assemble, move, and install furniture and equipment.
  • Facilitate with set up and take down of special events and scheduled group meetings.
  • Assist with recognizing, reporting, and repairing any public safety hazards.
  • Assist with operation, repair, and replacement of landscape irrigation systems including, but not limited to: adding new irrigation lines, changing sprinklers, and cleaning filters.
Required Experience:


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year experience in maintenance and grounds keeping.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry, as well as the use of common tools associated with these trades.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to complete assignments independently without immediate supervision.
  • Must be able to identify plants, insects, and diseases.
  • Must be attentive to details and possess commitment to high quality standards.
  • Must be able to follow directions and be willing to work as a team member.
  • Must be able to operate power tools and equipment in a safe and careful manner.
  • Current and in good standing: CDL and proof of vehicle insurance.

PREFERRED QUALLIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3 years of experience in all areas of maintenance/ grounds keeping with knowledge of horticulture and irrigation systems.
  • Knowledge of and prior experience with HVAC systems
  • OSHA Safety Training Completion
