Chanhassen Dental is Hiring a Dental Receptionist Near Chanhassen, MN

FRONT DESK POSITION opening. We are looking for an enthusiastic, charming teammate to join our family oriented, state of the art dental practice located in the west metro area.

You will be joining a team that enjoys educating patients in their dental needs while having fun doing so. Our busy, successful practice serves both Chanhassen, and the surrounding areas with honesty, compassion, and integrity.

As part of our front desk team you will be the first person to greet, and assist our wonderful patients with their dental needs. This includes, but not limited to:

  • Answering phones in a timely manner.
  • Scheduling patient appointments.
  • Working with Specialists to schedule patient appointments, emailing referrals and necessary x-rays.
  • Posting both patient and insurance payments to accounts.
  • Helping patients to understand their treatment plans, scheduling treatment, and estimate what insurance benefits will cover.
  • Collections; follow up with patients on outstanding past due account balances.
  • Answer questions that patient have on billing, and insurance.
  • Importing correspondence from specialist into patients chart, and updating patient chart.
  • Greeting patients and checking them in for their appointments verifying information on file, collecting any down payments.
  • Assisting patients as they are leaving after their appointment with any follow up appointments, collecting payments for services rendered that day.
  • Following up with patients that have not scheduled their treatment to be sure they are scheduled for their needs..

Skills we are looking for:

  • Dental experience a plus
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to multi-task
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Dentrix software experience a plus, but not necessary
  • Ability to work well with a team, and patients
  • Ability to work with minimum direction, self starter
  • Customer service

Schedule for this position is

  • Monday; 8:00am-6:00pm
  • Tuesday thru Thursday; 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Friday 8:00am-12:00pm (This is one Friday a month between the months of September-April).
