About the role:
The Simon Wiesenthal Center is seeking a Project Coordinator to oversee a portfolio of projects for the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Museum of Tolerance.
About you:
You are a strategic thinker, have a strong ability to multi-task, and communicate clearly. You have a proven ability to manage numerous projects of varying levels of complexity and an ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically.
This position will report to the Senior Project Manager and is based in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities
  • Work with key staff to determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Oversee the daily workflow related to projects and their development, simultaneously maintaining progress and momentum across various projects, within and across different departments of the organization, to ensure deliverables are met and reported on accurately.
  • Monitoring project budgets and expenditures in collaboration with Accounting Department.
  • Develop project schedules and monitor milestones.
  • Plan resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of project timelines, deliverables, reporting requirements and other deadlines.
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal/external stakeholders, facilitating transparent communication to facilitate the smooth progress of projects.
Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing grants or projects of $300K .
  • Excellent project management, administrative, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
  • Written communication skills: ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals and reports.
  • Personality profile to fit into a safe, inclusive, open and collaborative culture that requires teamwork and significant interaction with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment where you will get your hands into the details. Knowledge of project management best practices and an understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Understanding of construction and fabrication practices, trades, and building materials preferred.
