Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as In-Home Caregivers. As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Must Be able to use a Hoyer and lift up to 170 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings
- Document client care activities and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality
- Provide direct support and care in accordance with individualized care plans
- Lift and transfer clients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices, as needed
- Monitor vital signs and report any abnormalities or concerns
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of caregiving systems and practices is a plus
- Familiarity with ADLs (activities of daily living) is beneficial
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations is desirable
- Experience in patient care or direct support is advantageous
- Background in social work or a related field is a bonus
