Change The Play Inc. (CTP) is an Educational/Charitable 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering at-risk youth through education, promoting healthy lifestyle choices, and fostering identity development. By utilizing interest areas such as sports, music, fashion, and entertainment, we aim to inspire young people to become leaders and positive agents for change in their communities. Our programming focuses on alternative careers and entrepreneurial options, providing participants with the confidence, skills, and knowledge to pursue fulfilling careers or businesses in their chosen interest areas, ultimately contributing to the economic stability of the communities we serve.

Job Description:

Program Development and Planning:

  • Develop comprehensive programs that address the needs of students transitioning between elementary and middle school, as well as middle school to high school.
  • Create detailed program plans, including curriculum development, activities, and resources to support students in their transition phases.

Program Implementation and Oversight:

  • Oversee the day-to-day implementation of transition programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Monitor program activities, evaluate effectiveness, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and support to program staff, volunteers, and stakeholders involved in program delivery.

Student Support and Engagement:

  • Develop strategies to effectively engage students during their transition periods, providing necessary support and resources.
  • Offer mentoring, counseling, or other support services to help students navigate challenges and achieve success in academic and personal development.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Build and maintain partnerships with schools, educational institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to ensure seamless transitions for students and align program activities with school curricula and goals.

Resource Management and Fundraising:

  • Manage program budgets, allocating resources efficiently to support program objectives and activities.
  • Identify funding opportunities and develop grant proposals or fundraising initiatives to secure financial support for program operations and expansion.
  • Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and philanthropic organizations to sustain and grow program funding.

Evaluation and Reporting:

  • Establish evaluation criteria and metrics to assess program impact and outcomes.
  • Collect and analyze data to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, board members, and funders to demonstrate program achievements and accountability.

Community Outreach and Advocacy:

  • Promote awareness of the organization's youth transition programs within the community through outreach events, marketing campaigns, and media relations.
  • Advocate for policies and initiatives that support youth development and successful transitions between educational stages.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Change The Play Program Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and sustainability of the organization's youth transition programs, making a positive impact on the lives of young people in the community.
