Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to develop, maintain and improve community outreach efforts for the express purpose of driving referrals to achieve and maintain established occupancy standards for assisted living, long term care and short term care.

Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities

Community Outreach Functions

  1. Collaborate with Executive Directors, Marketing Directors, Admissions Coordinators and Regional Marketing Director to develop annual and quarterly networking plans to meet established goals for calls, visits and referrals
  2. Develop, maintain and improve community outreach efforts. Identify new and potential referral sources and strategies to educate. Target markets will include but are not limited to: senior housing providers, independent, assisted living and Alzheimer's providers, skilled nursing providers and hospitals, area support organizations, real estate professionals, clergy, social service organizations, trust officers, civic and professional organizations and internal resident population.
  3. Develop and maintain a dynamic database of community contacts while identifying opportunities in the marketplace for both IL/AL and SNF.
  4. Participate in the planning and implementation of influencer events designed to drive referrals, enhance community awareness and recognition within the surrounding metro area.
  5. Represent the facility at community and professional events to ensure the community is well-informed of the community's capabilities and product offerings.
  6. Participate and foster team relationships within the community.
  7. Collaborate with the Marketing Director, Executive Director and management team to establish effective public relations programs as needed.
  8. Maintain weekly one-to-one contact goals to achieve the number of leads needed established by the Regional Sales and Marketing Director.
  9. Prepare and produce quarterly marketing plans and execute plan while maintaining department budget
  10. Plan and participate in all marketing events both inside and outside of the building.
  11. Maintain relationship with residents through personal meetings or group functions.
  12. Network with external agencies and facilitate positive relationships.

Budget and Planning Functions

  1. Assist in preparing and planning the department's budget and submit to the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing and Executive Director for review, recommendations, and approval.
  2. Maintain current written records of department expenditures and ensure that adequate financial records and costs reports are submitted to the Executive Director upon request or as necessary.
  3. Manage marketing inventory and stay within the projected budget at all times. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with management team and employees that promotes high levels of achievement, trust, morale and professionalism.
  4. Prepares required reporting to Marketing Director and Corporate offices.
  5. Reviews and strategize with Marketing Director and Executive Director on weekly basis to assure maximum networking and effective follow-up with target contacts.
  6. Participates in daily managers meetings when necessary
  7. Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and potentially hostile people within the facility. Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.

Education and Experience

Bachelor Degree in Health Service, or related field

Minimum of 5 years experience in senior housing or health care

Prefer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Outlook) and entering information into a database.

Licensing/Certifications

None.
