Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in automotive repair, sheet metal work, auto glass installation, soldering, and the use of various hand tools.
Responsibilities:
- Perform auto body repairs and restoration on damaged vehicles
- Remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections from vehicle surfaces
- Repair or replace damaged body panels and components
- Install and repair auto glass
- Conduct welding and soldering tasks as needed
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards, insurance standards and customer specifications
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of auto body repair techniques and procedures
- Proficiency in sheet metal work, including cutting, shaping, and welding, (Aluminum Repair experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of auto glass installation techniques
- Familiarity with soldering techniques for electrical connections
- Ability to effectively use a variety of hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems are a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.18 - $26.71 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
