Description
The Housing Education Specialist is responsible for providing education and coaching for renters as part of CVOEO’s Whole Family Program, which assists families in transitioning and remaining in permanent housing. This position requires delivering in-person and online workshops for renters, providing skill-building information and resources related to renter's rights and responsibilities and financial capability and engaging in one-on-one coaching to help strengthen housing stability and landlord/tenant relationships. The Housing Education Specialist supports the mission of the Housing Advocacy Program (HAP) and CVOEO in furtherance of justice and empowerment of low-income people and people in protected classes. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in education or human services, plus two to four years related experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired. Skilled at conducting training / workshops with diverse groups; skills coaching experience desired. Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
